At a glance. As the organizers of Harvest Noir, the rogue picnicking pop-up event and dance party that first emerged in 2011, we are announcing our retirement from the Ottawa festival scene. Harvest Noir is going out with a big bang on Saturday October 3, though…
2pm. High-energy concert you won’t want to miss.Popmatters called DJ Socalled, this year’s headliner for the farm-to-table market and funfair, a “renaissance man in the truest sense of the word” for his incredible fusion of performance hip hop, klezmer, accordion, piano, and more. Socalled will not only lay down exceptional carnival music for the games and market atmosphere, he will also be performing magic tricks as well at Harvest Noir. The multi-talented Socalled was nominated for 2012 Juno World Album of the Year and 2015 Classical Album of the Year.
430pm. Refined picnic accompaniment with funky percussion.
Making their debut at Harvest Noir, Beats and Bows will wow picnic-revellers with their mix of celtic and classical music on violin and guitar, backed by the Beat Boxing World Champion (BBWC) Wildcard Winner, Julia Dales.
730pm. Operatic Celebration of Light.
As we light up the Ottawa skyline with 1,000 sparklers during the Celebration of Light, international opera singer Joseph Song Chi will electrify the audience with an aria. Joseph has performed across Canada and Europe with the Canadian Opera Company, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Communale di Bologna among others.
DANCE NOIR 815pm-2am. Once again, we are opening up the amazing Harvest Noir after-party, DANCE NOIR, to guests who are not attending the chic picnic. Plan to stay up late: Dance Noir was voted one of Ottawa’s sexiest parties.

Winner of the Supremacy DJ Championship, DJ Shub was Canadian champion representing our nation at two DMC World Championships, as well as the Redbull Thre3Style DJ Competition in Chicago. Get down to some of the best mixing you’ll EVER experience!

Tribal Fusion Tent! Join drummers and dancers from Canada and South Africa for an evening of belly dance and tribal dance, blending the modern and the ancient in sensuous celebration. Chill out and enjoy the scenery, or join in to the beat of the drum..
