  • Also look out for a karaoke lounge by China Doll, an electronica dancefloor by DJ Phil Fairhead, and back by popular demand DJ Eric Latulippe will throw down a crowd-pleasing mix of Top 40, dance music, hip hop, reggae, and classic rock on the main dancefloor.

Beatboxing Cello Joe

Most extraordinary picnic accompaniment yet! The San Francisco Chronicle describes Cello Joe as “a one-man, classical hip-hop orchestra that [leaves] the crowd clapping for more”. California-based Cello Joe describes himself as the world’s only International Bicycle Touring Troubadour Cellist Beatboxer. By beatboxing, throatsinging, singing, plucking and bowing the cello, CelloJoe mimics many styles of music from dubstep to folk to rock to classical to hip hop. The genre-defying Cello Joe will also grace us with classical numbers during the picnic.

Cello Joe records live on stage with a loop pedal and produces intricate tapestries of harmony, melody, and rhythm. His beatboxing (vocal percussion) and funky cello grooves form a rich soundscape for intelligent lyrics.

Eric Speed

Electrifying Fiddler Eric Speed

High-energy concert you won’t want to miss.  Fiddler Eric Speed from Montreal, 2011 Guinness World Record holder for fastest violinist, will be providing electrifying mix of gypsy jazz, folk, symphonic and electronica for picnic accompaniment that is sure to wow picnic-revellers.

His record is officially recognized by the Guinness World Record when he played the Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky Korsakov, in 55.58 seconds.

LeMeowSoul/Indie/Pop Band “Le Meow”

This soul-inspired indie pop band based out of Ottawa have been described by acclaimed radio broadcaster Alan Cross as “sultry coolness”, channeling the sass of Amy Winehouse and Adele.

leMeow is Gin Bourgeois on vocals and James Rooke on bass, accompanied by Brent Hultquist on keys and Jansen Richard on drums. In 2016, the group released their first studio album. In its first week, ‘York St’ charted on college radio and landed them showcases at some of Ontario’s premier music festivals. They also won the 2016 Yamaha Canada Band Competition which enabled them to travel to Japan and perform for award winning bassist and composer Nathan East. Earlier this year, leMeow released the live version of their newest single ‘Drip Drop’. The band is looking forward to recording the studio version in the New Year and to releasing their next EP.
